I have to admit, I don't really feel bad for Camden. Natalie is better off without him. I mean, any guy who just pulls up to the curb and rolls the window down and yells, "Are you just going to stand there? Get in..." doesn't deserve someone like Natalie, or any girl. And if she didn't want to go, why make her?? And, in reality, he probably DID sneak off and hopped on one of those horses (since there is now an excess of them) and headed to Justice J. Cole University to watch Derek Schiller play his first collegiate basketball game. And he did this all while Natalie was all alone in a cemetery weeping for him. JERK!
Natalie, my friend, you are much better off without him!
Oh, and very well written story! What you have written is interesting and compelling. The ending was a little abrupt, though. I felt I needed more resolution (so I just filled in with my own resolution. Hope you don't mind. lol).
